You keep caring for everyone else. But your own body is asking you to stop and listen.
Reconnecting with Your Body is a gentle, self-paced online program created for caregivers who feel physically exhausted, tense, disconnected from themselves, or constantly running on empty.
Across 19 practical lessons, you will learn simple ways to release physical tension, restore energy and build a realistic self-care routine that fits around your caring responsibilities.
When caring starts to take a toll on your body
Caregiving can gradually become physically exhausting.
You may notice:
tight shoulders, neck or jaw
constant tiredness, even after resting
shallow breathing or difficulty relaxing
aches and tension that seem to build throughout the day
feeling disconnected from your own physical needs
guilt when you stop or take time for yourself
always being alert, even when there is no immediate crisis
You may know that you need to care for yourself, but finding the time, energy or space to begin can feel impossible.
This program helps you start gently.
You do not need a complicated routine, expensive equipment or hours of free time. You only need a few quiet moments and permission to include yourself in the care you give.
Imagine feeling more at home in your body again
Reconnecting with Your Body is designed to help you move from:
Physical tension
to greater ease and awareness
Constant exhaustion
to small moments of restoration
Ignoring your body’s signals
to recognising what you need earlier
Feeling disconnected from yourself
to feeling present and grounded
Believing self-care requires too much time
to having practical tools you can use throughout your day
The aim is not to create another responsibility.
It is to help you develop small, supportive practices that make caring for yourself feel possible again.

You do not need to wait until you are completely exhausted
Caregivers often keep going because someone else needs them.
Rest gets postponed. Tension becomes normal. Exhaustion is accepted as part of the role.
But your body often gives you warning signs before you reach burnout.
The earlier you begin listening to those signs, the easier it may be to introduce small changes that protect your wellbeing.
You do not have to change your entire life today.
You can begin with one lesson, one breath and one moment of care for yourself.
Why this program is different
This is not a fitness challenge or a rigid wellness plan.
It was created specifically with caregivers in mind.
That means:
no pressure to keep up
no expectation that you have large amounts of free time
no guilt if you pause and return later
no requirement to perform exercises perfectly
no unrealistic promise that stress will disappear
Instead, you receive gentle guidance that helps you reconnect with your body in a way that feels manageable, supportive and personal.
About your guide
Lydia Dyhin
Founder of Calma Caregivers
My understanding of caregiving comes from personal experience.
While caring for my mother through vascular dementia, I became responsible for appointments, decisions, paperwork and the many practical and emotional demands that gradually accumulate.
Like many caregivers, I learned how easily your own needs can disappear from view.
Reconnecting with Your Body brings together practical mindfulness, breathing, gentle movement and body-awareness techniques to help caregivers begin restoring their physical wellbeing without adding more pressure to their lives.
This program is an invitation to remember that your body matters too.
